Cool Weather Makeover Games

It’s officially fall, and now it’s time for some cool weather makeover games. You can play your makeover games online or you can work on improving your own look or another friend’s. Whichever you decide, you should be preparing for a winter look.

Winter Wardrobe
So what is part of a winter wardrobe? The wardrobe will likely contain any number of things, but the bulk of it will be long sleeved shirts and sweaters, long pants and a thick jacket used over the rest of the clothing to help keep the cold out. You can also have fun pulling together extra accessories such as gloves or mittens, a cold weather hat, and even special winter or snow boots.

Picking the Right Items
There is almost no right or wrong way to make a winter outfit. If anything, people are more forgiving of fashion goofs during the cooler months. Unless you’ve ever sat too close to a cracked window, you might not understand the woman walking her dog in flannel pajama pants and a large sweatshirt. It might not be what you consider fashionable, but it will look comfy and warm to the rest of us. You design your individual winter look using the items available online. When you’re finished, you’ll have mastered the cold weather make over game.

When Not to Play Makeover Games

There are times that life is almost overwhelming – right before something big happens, in the middle of a messy relationship, at the end of the messy relationship or any other time that you’d rather just sulk in the comfort of your bed than actually get on with the business of life.

It seems like the down days would be a perfect time for a makeover, and the dumps is a perfect sign it’s time to go shopping, but maybe not for a full makeover game. Why not? Because makeovers should be done when you are feeling full of light and life. If you’re in the middle of emotional drama, you won’t be emotionally stable enough to pick a new hairstyle or spend hundreds, possibly thousands, on a new wardrobe to accommodate the look.

You should avoid playing makeover games using yourself as a subject during the hard times as you might get a bit overboard, but while you’re waiting for the drama of life to wash away with time, you can still enjoy a huge selection of online makeover games. Who knows, perhaps while you’re playing you’ll be able to see a new style that would be perfect for you or discover a simple look with some new makeup that would help to lift your spirits.

Guy Makeover Games

Why is it almost always girls on makeover shows? Why can’t guys play makeover games, too? In fact, if you watch enough episodes of What Not to Wear or other fashion shows, it’s easy to see that men can enjoy a makeover, too.

If you’ve seen plenty of girl makeover shows, you already know that girls usually get more flattering clothing that slims the body without binding it, and that their hair gets cut in a trendier, more age appropriate style. Boys and men get the same thing, but it looks much different.

Guy makeover games start by finding the right wardrobe for a man. Men are often poor dressers, but once they find the right style, the guys are able to change the color of a shirt and pair it with a pair of pants to look great. They don’t have to work nearly as hard as girls do to find clothing that looks great.

Many guys do get a drastic change when it comes to hair, however. There are a million hairstyles for girls, but just a few for boys. If a man with thinning hair gets a makeover, they will likely cut his hair super short. But if a boy comes in for a makeover, his hair might be left long or it might be made extremely short – and the different a haircut makes on a boy can be huge!

‘Tis the Season for Face Painting

If you love face painting, you’re in luck – this is the perfect season for makeover games involving more than a bit of blush and mascara. Face paint is very noticeable and not necessarily something you’d want to do on a daily basis, but if you ever wanted a chance to try out some new looks, this is the perfect opportunity.

Look One
On the first day or week that you try face painting, do your face in an exaggerated clown face. Add bright red cheeks, red lips, and a white base with black eyebrows. You can buy a red clown nose or just paint your nose red (or green, or blue) to complete the look.

Look Two
The next time, try a sad clown face by using a white base, black circles around the eyes and a down turned mouth. Be sure to act out the personality of your face, of course.

Look Three
Finish with the clowns and try out a fairy face. Add curls and even tendrils of flowers or ivy to your face. Paint with glitter on your brow and extend the painting on your entire forehead. You might just decide you love being a fairy so much, you do it for the duration of the Halloween season.

Fun Halloween Makeover Games

There is no time like Halloween for making new looks and playing makeover games. In fact, just trying on costumes is one of the greatest makeover games there is. Head to a real costume shop – not just one that sells plastic versions of costumes. Find one that sells costumes year round and ask to try on a few of your favorites.

The clerk should be agreeable, especially if you plan to actually rent or buy a costume at the end of your little makeover game. Grab a variety of costumes – not just the ones you think you’ll like. Try the princess gown, the astronaut, the cowgirl and the glamorous movie star.

You might think its movie star all the way until you realize how much fun it would be to wear an astronaut suit for the duration of a Halloween party. You might be the only one in the room who can do a true space walk – and look the part, no less. But, of course, if you do decide that the princess is the way to go, you will be the most authentic looking princess there in your quality gown.

Three Fun Things About Makeover Games

Makeover games are special in many ways. Here are just five of the things that make the games so much fun:

You get to be in charge. How often in your young life have you been able to be in charge of anything. Now, not only are you in charge of picking out a new outfit for the subject of the makeover, you’re in charge of her entire future. A girl’s future can change because of a makeover, obviously.

You can change your mind. When you’re playing makeover games with your BFF at a sleep over, you can’t do much when you mess up or change your mind. Once the make up is on, it’s on. Online, however, you can change whatever you want. Try one thing and then try another – you’ll get it right in the end.

You can learn new things. If every makeover game you play one day involves green eyeshadow, you can bet that someone out there has made green eye shadow totally stylish. If you’re into styles and trends you’ll know what’s hot before anyone else.

Staying On Top of Makeover Games

There is a steady stream of makeover games. Just when you thought you’d played them all, another batch is released across a multitude of websites and you’re back where you started. While it’s impossible to stay on top of every site and every new release, you should have a plan for finding the more impressing makeover games.
Use Bookmarks
Use your bookmarks to tag the sites you like. This way, you’re able to find your way back to the site later. If you find a series of makeover games you love, play them and immediately bookmark the site using your web browser or a website dedicated to helping you bookmark and arrange websites you like.

Visit Frequently
Visit the bookmarked sites frequently. You should be seeing updated games on a very regular basis. Keep plenty of sites on your list. The more websites you’re checking weekly for new games, the more likely you are to find one. If you can’t actually visit your list of sites every week, you can always try signing up to an RSS feed from the site. This will let you see new additions to the site, but only if you remember to check what’s new and different.

Tired of Makeover Games?

Are you getting tired of makeover games? Watching someone else go from frumpy to fabulous is fun the first two hundred times you see it, but it’s only natural to lose a bit of interest over time. If you’ve been playing makeover games almost exclusively for a while, perhaps it’s time you take a break.

Trying Out New Things
While taking time away from makeover games, go ahead and try other things online that you might not have considered before. Makeover games are similar to dress up games, but you might find that games that center on celebrities or a favorite character such as the Bratz would be a lot more fun that playing with random characters.

You might also experiment with games that have little or nothing to do with fashion. Try on cooking games if you like the shorter Flash games, and don’t be afraid to try some of the larger MMORPG games that are free online. These games can hook you in an instant and you’ll soon discover that your favorite characters online have their own makeover games and you’ll be back full circle!

Makeover Games: Cutting Your Hair

If you’ve had long hair almost your whole life, as many girls have, the prospect of cutting it, even a bit can be frankly – terrifying. Hair is almost the same material as your fingernails, but for some reason, the prospect of cutting off your hair is much more burdensome that clipping your nails. If you’re considering a haircut, be sure to make the decision properly.

Don’t Act Rashly
If you just got out of a messy relationship or decided you hate your exboyfriend, cutting your hair is a bad idea. When you’re emotional balance is off, such as after a big breakup or fight, you might make a decision you regret.

Take It Slow
If you’re nervous about finding a new look, it’s simple to get there gradually. Instead of whacking off all your hair at one time, take off a few inches in a medium style. If you find you’re okay with that then you can cut off a bit more as you gradually get shorter. If you take it a few inches at a time, you’ll also be able to grow it back to a previously comfortable length in far less time than if you get dramatic right away.
