My Makeover Games

I like makeover games. I love to watch makeover on television, and I’ll admit I’m a bit jealous when someone else gets a makeover on TV. I’d love to be pampered and primped. I wouldn’t mind a professional coming to tell me what looks good on me and what I might consider doing differently to really bring out my best features. As of this moment, I’m not exactly sure what my best features are!

But since nobody is offering me a free makeover, I’ll have to content myself with playing makeover games online. I might not be changing anyone’s life when I dress up the dolls online, but it is still a lot of fun to pretend to be the fashion designer making decisions about wardrobes and such.

The best part of makeover games is there is no wrong selection. In most games you win or lose, but that’s not the case with makeover games. Instead, you get a chance to take a doll/girl from one place to another fashion-wise. You can practice your hair and make-up skills as well as your ability to dress and accessorize. At the end of the day, you’ve made a creation you can truly be proud of.

Do You Need a Makeover?

I can never decide if I’d be thrilled to find out I won a makeover or if I’d be upset. I mean, it has to be embarrassing to find yourself on one of those makeover shows where your friends and family have nominated you for being such as horrible dresser with your eighties hairstyle. Of course, winning thousands of dollars to go shopping and a brand new designer look wouldn’t be so bad after you got over your embarrassment.

Of course, I think it would help a lot if you actually recognized that you needed a makeover. The people that think they look good and don’t are the ones who seem to be stung the most when they find out what friends and family think. So are you living in denial? Do you need a makeover?

  • Does your hair just hang there or is always pulled back in a ponytail or other not official hair-style?
  • Do you wear make-up?
  • If you do wear it, do other people seem to look at you oddly from time to time?
  • Do people turn around to stare at your clothing when you walk down the street?
  • Have strangers made comments about your clothing?
  • Could you have worn the same clothing items years ago?
  • Can you share clothes with your grandmother or brother?

If you answered yes to anything above, it might be time to take on some makeover games!

Why Makeover Games Soothe the Soul

Girls like makeovers, and makeover games can get us through some pretty tough spots. Makeover games are fun to watch and also a great deal of fun to participate in. during the long, cold months of winter, those makeover games might be all you have keeping you going – at least in your online hours.

Makeover Games are Relaxing
Makeover games are a great way to give the mind a break. This is a rough season in school with the semester coming to an end, so there are plenty of tests and projects to do. While I wouldn’t tell you to ignore your work, you can certainly take a break from a project to play a few makeover games.

The makeover games will give your mind a welcome break from algebra or any other boring subject and letting different parts of your brain engage for a bit might actually make it easier to go back to the studying later.

Stress from doing something you don’t really want to do is also very unhealthy. If you are forced to do hours o homework night after night, your stress level builds up, and to keep your stress levels down and be as healthy as possible, you should schedule time to relax and do things you live to do. Makeover Games are the perfect option.

Winter Makeover Games

Winter makeover games are more fun than summer makeover games, in my opinion. In the summer makeover games, you slap a few bathing suit pieces on a doll base and call it quits. While they are cute, the winter makeover games are much more challenging and fun.

Everyone likes a good challenge, so when presented with a winter wardrobe it’s only naturally to sit up straighter and put your stylish thinking cap on.

Start with a bottom layer. Jeans or cords are always a good choice and pull on a long sleeved white or cream shirt. On top of the shirt, you can pull on a funky sweater or zip up sweatshirt. The tops are where you can have the most fun in the winter. There are only so many pants options to choose from during the coldest months of the year, but the tops including shirts, sweaters and jackets are endless.

Play around with different looks until you find one you like and then you’ll need to make the most important decision of all. Do you want to make the look playful with funky, fun sport shoes? Or do you want to glam it up with some tall boots? The choices are up to you.

Dancing Makeover Games

A full body makeover is tough if you are trying to go from one body type to another. For example, if you don’t have much muscle and you’re trying to lose weight, you’ll need a way to exercise and build muscle at the same time. Fortunately, the best way is a very easy thing for girls to do. The best makeover game is to dance like a maniac!

It’s likely you’ve danced for a few songs here and there at a school dance or maybe in your room. But I challenge you to turn up the volume and dance for thirty minutes straight. Try out new moves and be free with your movements. If you’re in your room nobody can see anyway.

The motion will help to burn calories and your overall conditioning will improve as well. You’ll also notice just how hard it is to hold some of those dance moves, so you can expect your muscles to get a good workout as well. If you start a new dance program and dance 25-40 minutes every evening, you’ll feel great and it won’t be long before you’ll notice your body trimming up and feeling much stronger, too.

Mood Makeover Games

If you want to go from blah to fabulous or depressed to ecstatic, you don’t need a good gossip session or a new crush, you just need to play mood makeover games! Changing your mood is a matter of focus and the ability to move beyond the emotions you’re bogged down in. If you want to step out of negative and switch your mood entirely, you must:

1. Figure out what mood you’re in and why. If you feel down in the dumps and don’t know why, you’ll probably have a hard time shaking it off.

2. Think of a way to resolve the problem for now. This might be a real answer like talking to your teacher about a grade or it might be a patch such as resolving to study more in the future.

3. Put the incident behind you. Once you’re free and clear of the past, you can move forward. This is the most challenging step as we tend to dwell on things even once they are resolved.

4. Choose your new mood and picture yourself there. If you want to be happy and excited, stop for a minute and remember what that feels like. Then start acting that way. At first it will feel false, but soon you’ll be acting happy and realize that you actually are feeling pretty good about yourself.

Winter Makeover Games

When the weather gets colder, it’s time for some winter makeover games. Winter makeover games are a bit more fun than any other season for a few reasons, and until you’ve braved the ice and snow to make it to the mall for a new anything, you can truly appreciate the fun of the cold season’s version of makeover games.

You Get To Wear More Clothes
In the summertime, your makeover games are limited to the amount of clothing you can wear. But in the winter time, your makeover games can include jackets, hats, umbrellas, boots, scarves and all kinds of layering pieces. With so many articles of clothing and accessories to choose from, it’s easy to have fun, but challenging to pull a full look together.

You Find an Excuse to Shave Your Legs
In the cold dry weather, it is a challenge at times to go through the hassles of shaving your legs – especially if you’re just wearing pants or heavy tights every day. But when you play makeover games, you might have a chance to wear something more fun than jeans and a sweatshirt (again.) So grab a new razor and a heavy cream to keep that fragile skin moist.

Pink Cheeks and Noses
Pink cheeks and noses are just part of the deal when you play in the winter. The cold weather makes your fingers cold, and your little nose might just turn pink as well. The pink on your face makes your eyes sparkle, showing just how much you love makeover winter games.

Makeover Games with Taylor Swift

Recently I saw the video for Taylor Swift’s newest single, and if anyone enjoys makeover games, it must be Taylor Swift. The girl is already beautiful, but in the video for Love Story, she dresses up in a period costume from the nineteenth century. In fact, she wears a few of them – all of which are beautiful.

Any girl who enjoys makeover games would get a kick out of her wardrobe in the short video, and more than a few of them would be a bit green with envy. I know I wouldn’t mind just one of the fancy ball gowns, lace up corsets and trailing waves of fabric Taylor is lucky enough to wear.

It begs the question – does Ms. Swift get to keep all of those fancy gowns? If it were my music video I’d be sure to take at least one of the gowns home with me – probably the last one she wears as she’s racing across the field toward her one true love, but that’s just a personal preference. One thing is for sure, a period piece such a that would be a fine addition to any girls make believe wardrobe.

Body Makeover Games

Sometimes we need more to a makeover than just a few new clothing items. For those who struggle with too much extra weight or too little, it’s time for a body makeover.

If you’re younger than twenty-one, you don’t need to spend much time actually dieting. Instead, you should refocus your attention on getting plenty of exercise and action during the day and limiting your food choices to healthier alternatives. By eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, snacking on healthy items rather than junk and eliminating sugars and other highly processed foods from your diet, you’ll be training yourself to eat in a healthier way and combined with exercise, you’ll naturally begin to lose weight.

Tone and Condition
Part of your ongoing physical activity to make your body makeover work, you’ll need to include strength and toning exercises. This is especially important for those having a hard time following the diet. By exercising and then toning each day, you’ll be building muscle mass and helping your body burn off fat and calories. The increased muscle mass will make it even easier to burn extra calories and you’ll be fit and trim before you know it.
