Makeover Games and High Heels

Nothing ruins a good makeover game faster than wearing high heels when you can’t really walk in them. High heeled shoes can be hard to walk in if you’re not used to wearing them, but not knowing the proper way to handle the shoes can make you look a bit silly as you travel the hallways at school or work. The key to wearing high heels as part of your makeover games is to practice in then quite a bit.

Buy a pair of high heels that you’d like to wear with a particular outfit. Take the shoes outside and scuff then bottoms of them on the concrete, although you need to be sure you’re planning to keep them. Scuffing up the shoes makes them easier to walk in as they won’t slip on carpet or slick tile floors. Then simply put the shoes on with whatever else you’re wearing and just go about your day at home. Walk around the house breaking in the shoes and giving your legs a chance to adapt to the way the shoes make you feel.

Makeover Games and Eyebrows

If you haven’t already had your eyebrows shaped, absolutely look into it. Eyebrows are the framework for the face. The more shape and structure your eyebrows have, the better they frame the entire eye making it look larger and more open. Having your eyebrows trimmed up also gives your face a very groomed appearance, which is important for those of us who love to play makeover games.

Don’t shape your eyebrows yourself unless you really know what you’re doing. It’s far better to go and have then waxed or plucked by a professional who can give you a basic shape. Once you have the shape in place, you can maintain the eyebrows by plucking the stray hairs that come in yourself. You might even invest in a home waxing kit to take care of cleaning up your face without having to pay for the salon visit. Once you have your eyebrows done, though, you’ll be amazed you went so long without them looking clean and beautiful.

Makeover Games after Babies

I’m very much of the mindset that having babies throws off a complete universe when it comes to looking good. During pregnancy you’re able to buy new maternity clothes to showcase that adorable belly and make yourself look great, even if your ankles are swollen. But then once the baby comes, you’re stuck between a cute maternity wardrobe that’s too big and a cute real wardrobe that’s too small, so you get desperate and lose yourself.

Unfortunately for many of us, even if we lose most of the baby fat or all of it, the body we once had has changed a bit. You might be thicker one place and thinner in another. Your clothing might not fit correctly any more. If this has happened to you, take your old wardrobe to the tailor to see what can be salvaged. If you wind up a size bigger, don’t sweat it too much. Just use the opportunity to take on some new makeover games and get that new, improved one-size-up wardrobe.

Makeover Games in the Backyard

I’m a big fan of spreading the makeover love well beyond the basic wardrobe. I’ve been working lately on making over the backyard. Why? Because it needed it and it’s a great way to get a bit of outdoor exercise and some fresh air. My backyard is a disaster area much in need of some love and makeover games. The yard is full of rocks and dead plants that were here from years ago. Our first step was to get rid of most of them in order to figure out what was underneath. The end results will be stunning, but the process is most certainly time consuming.

Playing makeover games in the backyard requires me to be out there with work gloves and a shovel. I’m okay with that. It’s like take away years of neglect and replacing it with a bit of TLC. Just like I can change my look with a few new pieces, I can change the look of my backyard by taking out some of the junk and putting in something that looks nice. I’m not done with my makeover games just yet, but the yard is most certainly looking much improved.
