I’ve been doing some makeover games lately, and I’m moving slowly. It may seem like an unlikely combination, but I make a lot of my decisions about makeover games based on my toe nails. When my toenails are pretty, I feel like I look good and that I’m taking care of myself correctly. It’s time for some serious makeover games. There is something powerful that happens in the spring to make me decide that it’s time to make a change. When I feel the need to change, I act on it – after all, life is designed for taking chances and doing fun new things. If I’m getting a bit gray around the temples, which suddenly I am, it’s time to dye my hair. If I see spots on my skin, it’s time for more foundation and concealer. There’s no reason to go through life looking like a total slob, although I do this all of the time already. It would be far better to finally pull myself together and start looking like I care about myself again.

When I play makeover games, I expect my universe to feel a bit more comfortable. I feel icky when I know I’m not trying to make myself look as great as I normally might, and that feeling will follow me throughout all of my day. I hate it, but then I just can’t get myself motivated enough to do something about it properly at the beginning of the day. I think a full transformation is in the works, and fortunately I have spring break to do it in. I’ve decided that when I come back from spring break, I’m going to be a new and improved me – and that will be the product of great makeover games!

I’m never exactly sure if television is a hinder for makeover games or if it’s a boost. The actors on television are women who are almost unnaturally thin most of the time, and to look very thin on television, you have to be even thinner in real life. It’s an unrealistic standard for most of us. Of course, there are now so many shows that realize this, however, and those shows are giving us a better idea of how to lose weight and get in shape.

Why not hop on the treadmill while you watch Biggest Loser? Or spend the commercial breaks of Celebrity Fit Club doing some crunches and squats? If you use the television as inspiration to make yourself healthier, you’ll be able to do far more with your time than you would be able to if you were pinning your hopes on being thin enough to make a size 0 someday.

How many of us have stared into the mirror in the morning and wished for some serious makeover games? I know that I’d love to have a team ready to take on the task of getting me ready for every day looking my best, but the fact of the matter is – I’m on my own. It’s almost 2010 and that makes me think about Makeover Games. In the new year, it’s important to decide who you want to be and how you want to become that person. Many of us started as one person years ago and have transitioned into someone we don’t really recognize anymore. This happens for many different reasons, but among the most common, we loose focus of who we really want to be.

Makeover games for 2010 are your opportunity to reclaim who you really want to be this year. Start with the inside and then move on into the outside. How do you want to feel and what will it take to get to that point? Likely you’ll need to start by saving money, paying down debt and then dealing with any emotional baggage you might have lingering.

Once you’ve started on the inside, it’s time to start on the outside. Create a healthy lifestyle so that you can create a healthier you. Skip the diets as they are temporary and find a new way of life that will help you get on track to a healthier more attractive self.

Makeover games are by far my favorite thing to do. I love to perform my own makeover games on my own look every year, although I’ve been falling behind in recent years. Perhaps this is the year to get myself put back together and stylish. I’ve at least stayed current with the latest fashions and styles in magazines and through dress up games although I haven’t been able to apply many of them to my own personal look.

This year perhaps will be different. For my makeover games, I’ll start with my physique. I think firming things up with some extra exercise will give me a better foundation for new clothing. It will be easier to find clothing styles that fit well if my body is toned, even if it’s not model perfect.

I’ll also be adding some new make-up items and clothing to my collections. Best of all, my neglected hair will be getting a brand new look so that it’s ready to go every day looking great, making my full new makeover game a complete success.

Winter is a fun time for makeover games. In the winter, clothing is comfortable and warm. Dressing fashionably in the winter is usually a matter of pulling together coordinates with warm elements. A pair of cords looks great with a bulky sweater. Wool slacks pair easily with a cardigan and shell. Of course, makeover games in any season are more complicated than simply changing your wardrobe.

For a full makeover game, you need to not only tackle the wardrobe, but the hairstyles and make up as well. In the winter, hair tends to be drier and will need a bit of extra moisture. It’s easier to wear down in the winter as your hair helps to keep your neck warm. But dry air can cause fly-aways and breakage, so be sure to treat your hair properly and ease up on the heat sources for styling.

Of course, your skin will need some pampering in the winter as well. Plan on adding extra moisture to your routine. You’ll want to keep your skin well hydrated and protected from the wind as well. Wearing darker colors will help bring your features to the forefront during your makeover games.

Sparkle and Dazzle – There just aren’t that many times you can wear a bit of sparkle on your clothing without going over the top. The holidays are the perfect time to glisten and sparkle. Wear a bit of sequins on a rich fabric for a bright, festive appearance.

Winter is upon us, and it’s time to get serious about dressing for the colder weather. When getting set up for the winter months, be sure to plan ahead to get all of the wardrobe essentials before you need them.

Warm pants are absolutely necessary for the winter months. These might be jeans or maybe some cute cords. Even heavy khaki pants will do. But there is nothing worse that having cold legs when the wind is blowing and the cold rain or snow is falling. Keep them covered in something warm and dry.

Bulky tops are the perfect winter wear. There is a lot to say for thin sweaters and lightweight tops to layer, but most of us love the bulky collection of sweaters and sweatshirts we can finally get away with in the winter months. Nothing beats a pair of stretchy comfortable pants and a giant sweatshirt for bumming around the house or even bumming around the classroom on a given Friday.

Finally, you’ll need the most important things of all – warm shoes. We all love cute shoes, but when it’s cold out, you need some boots and comfortable sneaks that aren’t going to let all that cold mushy snow in to freeze your socks.
