Makeover Games and Winter Make Up

Winter is a great time to sparkle and shine. If you’ve never played with make up in the winter, you’re in a for a real treat. This winter things are heating up with the natural tones. You’ll find a number of rusts, yellows and reds in with the normal metallic shades. The summer months require light applications of make up, but with the cooler weather (and the reduced chance of sweating it all off), you’re able to really enjoy playing with your make up patterns this time around.

Start with a base that matches your skin tone in the winter months. Your summer tan is likely fading and you’ll need a new make up color to match your skin tone. It’s perfectly normal to have one for each season. Then, use a light dusting of powder before you really start to play with your color choices. Add a bit of sparkly shadow and some blush. Anything that adds just a touch of shimmer and shine will make your face glow and remind everyone that the winter months are a time of celebrating and excitement – a message we can all stand to remember this year.

Makeover Games and Thanksgiving

Makeover games are a great way to dress yourself up for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a season of fall festivities and family, and what better time to try out a new look with your friends and family than by looking for a great new look before the big family gathering. The family gathering you’re having for the holiday makes it is a perfect time debut some new styles and your favorite makeover games.

Makeover games let you give yourself a new look and you can sample it with those who love you before you try it out with others at school or work. For example, you can look into dying your hair and finding a new style before you have to commit to the style for the long term. Temporary hair dyes and a new outfit in a totally new style might set the stage for success at the holidays. Best of all, if you hate your new look, you can easily change it out for a totally new one or revert back to your old look if you hate it.

Makeover Games and Your Mind

There are only a few games as satisfying as makeover games. They stimulate the mind in a creative way and it’s always nice to see a transformation take place – who can resist seeing someone look new and improved - especially if she seems happier and healthier afterward? Makeover games have a great way of stirring up the creative juices and then keeping them flowing as you think of new and meaningful ways to introduce make up items and new styles.

Start with a new hairstyle. Changing up your hairstyle can make you look dramatically different, and it doesn’t have to be very expensive if you choose a basic style and do your color at home. Or do color and cut at a local beauty school and pay far less than you would at a salon. Once you have your new style, find a make up style to match and then start shopping for some clothes to really define and bring you’re your style. Go for something that really inspires you, even if it’s not currently in your wardrobe. Being a bit out of your comfort zone is a good thing – it makes you more comfortable in the future trying new things.

Makeover Games and Weird Body Types

Not everyone has a great body to dress during makeover games. Despite with magazines, fashion shows and even fashion websites might have us think, we’re definitely not all built the same way and understanding that is the first step to figuring out the best way to flatter your own figure without detracting from your overall fashion sense and style. For example, there are relatively few people who can wear short skirts and look perfectly comfortable and natural in them. If you have short legs, for example, the short skirt isn’t a good choice. Likewise if you have a wide backside or broad hips – the skirt will be wider than it is short, and that’s unflattering.

If you have a body type that doesn’t fit the mold, you’ll have a bit more trouble finding clothing for your makeover games, but that doesn’t mean you should give up. Take your body shopping and try things on. Just look at how clothing fits you and then identify the aspects that are most flattering. In general, those features will be things like clothing that skims the body rather than clinging to it or draping over it. You might also have to delve into accessories to complete your new look as well, but that, at least, will be plenty of fun.

Makeover Games for You

If you’ve never tried out some serious makeover games, you’re absolutely missing out on some of the best entertainment around. Spending a day with a girlfriend, a straightener and some make up can produce some impressive results and it can also motivate you to go through the motions everyday as you work to come up with some great styles to wear every day to the office or to school.

It can be hard to get started on some makeover games, so bringing over a friend to help make it a real day can be especially exciting. Start with your clothing selections – have your friend help you pull together an outfit you wouldn’t normally wear. Then start on your hair. While it’s getting set – especially if you’ve curled or dyed it, go ahead and do a bit with your nails and then make up. Finally, put the whole look together and see just how impressive the change can be. Remember to take plenty of pictures to mark the occasion of how much fun you had together, too!

Makeover Games and Thrift Shops

I’m a firm believer in thrift shops. I’m convinced you can get everything you need for some serious makeover games by shopping in thrift stores. You’ll also be doing a great service by spending money that goes to a more serious cause than some company’s bottom line. To play makeover games using thrift stores, however, you’ll need to spend some time digging through the wares and then even more time altering everything to fit you correctly.

Start by finding clothing items that are classics and basic. You can’t go wrong with a black t-shirt and a pair of jeans. Collect basics and then start looking for items to dress up your basics. A great jacket would look great over the black shirt and finding some funky shoes and a vintage bag would make the whole outfit really come together The more old you can combine with classic or new styles, the more successful the makeover games will be.

Your Hair and Makeover Games

Who doesn’t love to look her best? Makeover games are often focused on dramatic, fully body transformations that include new clothing and make up, but makeover games can just as easily focus on a single part of the body, and for many of us looking at heading back to school, that part is your hair. Having the right haircut makes it simple to look your best and to show off your personal sense of style, even if you’re stuck wearing a basic uniform or standardized dress.

How can anyone fail to see that you’re a bit punk or edgy if you’re wearing a fauxhawk as you walk down the halls of your building? Bright pink hair or a great cut can make it obvious to everyone that you’re not a cookie cutter type. Finding the best style for you can be as simple as trying out a few new haircuts or styles this summer, but during your hair makeover games, be on the lookout for the cut that make you look as great as possible while also being one that you’re comfortable with.
