Mini Makeover Games

So you like makeovers, but sometimes a full makeover can be a bit intimidating to pull off in real life. After all, people are going to notice if you suddenly change your hair, your make up and your entire wardrobe in one fell swoop. Instead, if the thought of so much drama makes you uncomfortable, you should focus on doing mini makeovers sure to get you to the final point of glam – but without so much hype and fanfare.

Your first step should be your make-up. Change it a bit to give your face a more open, fresh feel. Get used to the new feel and then move on. You might have to tweak your shades and techniques a bit to find the perfect set-up for you, but when you do your makeover will be well underway.

Your next step is to start fine-tuning your wardrobe. Add a few style elements here and there and as you discover things that fit you nicely and styles you like, go back out and get more of the same. Change your look gradually to find articles of clothing you like and things that really suit you – sometimes buying too much at once can encourage you to be impractical and that’s a waste if you’re not going to use an item.

Finally, your hair is going to be the biggest step. Only close friends will notice the make-up changes, and your clothes will clue in other around you to subtle changes. But the dramatic new look of your hair will let the world know you’re here in a new way – and you’ll already be totally comfortable with that new girl!

Makeover Games and Your Dad

If there was ever a terrific candidate for a makeover game, it’s your dad. Look over at him. Go ahead; take note of what he’s wearing and how those glasses or haircut aren’t really flattering. Then just think of all the things you can show him.

Start with a virtual makeover. Take his picture and use it online to do a full makeover. Change his hairstyle – most likely you’ll go shorter to camouflage thinning hair, and then start playing around with his clothes.

Dads, at least the vast majority, have little or nothing to do with make-up, so you can skip that step. But you should really work on your dad to come and see what you’ve created. If he likes it, you might just be able to convince him to buy a new outfit or two.

If Dad’s makeover is successful, you can continue to be his assistant and head with him to the barber shop and clothing stores. Your dad might appear to be cool, calm and collected, but everyone wants to know they look good.

Tell your dad you love him unconditionally, but then also let him know that you have his best interests at heart while you find him a totally new look.

Everyone Needs a Virtual Makeover

There are so many great things online, it’s easy to skip over some of the most universal. Of all the makeover games, a virtual makeover is by far the most interesting. In a full virtual makeover, you have the option to change your hair, your clothes, your makeup and even your body’s shape (if you’re trying to gain or lose weight) to see how you’ll look in different outfits and styles.

You might be totally content in your current style, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t play around to see what might be out there that you simply haven’t discovered yet.

A virtual makeover is highly personal because most often, you actually upload a picture of your face to be used in the game. You can also set the measurements on the body to match your own to get a better impression of how clothes fit.

It goes without saying that being honest on the measurements is the only way you’ll really know how something looks.

Then, once everything is uploaded and ready, you can try out totally new looks. Start with your hairstyle. Try different cuts and colors to see if one appeals to you. Then you can move on to your wardrobe. Find outfits that suit your features and you’ll be ready to head to the mall to buy them in real life.

What Does Your Hair Say About You?

The most noticeable aspect of your style, short of your clothing, is your hair. Your hairstyle says a lot about you and you want to be sure you’re making the right statement.

Long Flowing Hair
When you leave your hair long and flowing, it means you’re a romantic. Do you picture your hair flying behind you as you ride horses on a beach? Can you toss it around when you’re flirting? Long hair that is well maintained takes a lot of time and work, so a beautiful mane lets the world know that you’re a high maintaince kind of girl.

The Simple Look
There are two ways to be simple with your hair. One is to have it constantly pulled back and the other is to just let it hang as it pleases. If you do absolutely nothing to hair other than wash it, brush it and either let it dry or pull it back, you’re a simple kind of girl. This looks says you’re down to earth, not particularly self involved and often very on-the-go.

Short, Stylish Do
When young girls wear their hair short, they are often bucking the trends of long, youthful hair. Girls with short, stylish hair are fun and flirty – willing to take risks and not afraid of their own individuality. You like to experiment and are open to new ideas. Congrats on your independence!

Why Makeover Games?

Have you yet to have a makeover and can’t really understand why someone would want to play these silly makeover games? It’s quite simple really – they aren’t simple at all.

Build Self Esteem
When you see yourself at your best, your self esteem shoots up. Everyone likes to see how great they really look and often a change of clothing and a swipe of mascara can release previously unrealized potential. Knowing you look good not only to yourself but to others can give you confidence in all areas of your life making you a happier, more content person overall.

Find a New Look
Makeovers can also help you find a new look. It’s very likely that you’re stuck in a rut if you’re not out checking out new fashions. If that rut is working for you, you don’t have to leave it, but a makeover game can at least show you might you might be missing.

Girl Bonding
Finally, makeover games are a type of girl bonding unlike any other. When you put your life and eyelashes in the hands of a friend wielding an eyelash curler (have you ever even seen one of these instruments of terror?) you must have trust. And trust is the foundation of all great relationships.

Makeover Games: Makeover Your Mom

It’s very likely that your mom has settled into the kind of clothes she’s comfortable in. Unfortunately, those clothes are probably totally out of style. You, however, are totally stylish, and maybe it’s time the tables were turned. Why not show your mom a few ways to update your look – take her shopping!

Mom Makeovers

Before you run around picking out your kind of clothes in your mom’s size, remember that you are in two different generations. Cute teen clothes aren’t appropriate on adults. But the styles are similar between the two styles. Head online first to find a dress up game with all kinds of styles to be sure you know what you are looking for.

Take the Plunge

You and you mom can both practice online first before making the big trip. When you’re ready, head to a favorite clothing shop and work together picking out outfits. Grab a few individual trendy pieces appropriate for her age and body type, but try to find complete outfits so that she doesn’t just have a bunch or random clothes in her closet.

Remember that your mom will have a preference on what colors and styles she likes, but you can help her find new looks and styles. Help her break away from her normal, but leave her inside her comfort zone at least.

Ultimate Hair Makeover

If you want to make a dramatic different in your appearance, you should really do something about that hair. Grow it out, cut it off, try some bangs, but an ultimate hair makeover is enough to change your look completely – even if you wear the exact same clothes you’ve had for years.
Hair Makeover Games
Head online first to see what sorts of hairstyles are hot right now for kids your age. Then play some makeover games that let you try on different hair styles. There are actually some that let you take your own face from a picture and use it as the basis of a style to help you see what might look good on you.

Be Careful
Remember to be careful, however, with just picking out a look you like without considering the type of hair you have or your face shape. Some looks work best on round faces or squared faces. If you’re not sure what I mean, you can research your face shape here. (Scroll to the bottom of the page.)

Have Fun!
Most of all have fun. It’s summer now, so any hairstyles will have some time to grow out and change if you happen to not like the finished product. Try something totally new and then enjoy looking like a totally new you!
