Makeover Games and Thrift Shops

I’m a firm believer in thrift shops. I’m convinced you can get everything you need for some serious makeover games by shopping in thrift stores. You’ll also be doing a great service by spending money that goes to a more serious cause than some company’s bottom line. To play makeover games using thrift stores, however, you’ll need to spend some time digging through the wares and then even more time altering everything to fit you correctly.

Start by finding clothing items that are classics and basic. You can’t go wrong with a black t-shirt and a pair of jeans. Collect basics and then start looking for items to dress up your basics. A great jacket would look great over the black shirt and finding some funky shoes and a vintage bag would make the whole outfit really come together The more old you can combine with classic or new styles, the more successful the makeover games will be.

Your Hair and Makeover Games

Who doesn’t love to look her best? Makeover games are often focused on dramatic, fully body transformations that include new clothing and make up, but makeover games can just as easily focus on a single part of the body, and for many of us looking at heading back to school, that part is your hair. Having the right haircut makes it simple to look your best and to show off your personal sense of style, even if you’re stuck wearing a basic uniform or standardized dress.

How can anyone fail to see that you’re a bit punk or edgy if you’re wearing a fauxhawk as you walk down the halls of your building? Bright pink hair or a great cut can make it obvious to everyone that you’re not a cookie cutter type. Finding the best style for you can be as simple as trying out a few new haircuts or styles this summer, but during your hair makeover games, be on the lookout for the cut that make you look as great as possible while also being one that you’re comfortable with.
