50/50 Makeover Games

Want to see something really interesting in a make-up game? Let two friends make you over at the same time! How does it work? Like any other make-up game, except instead of making up your whole face, each friend will only get half.

Sit down at your vanity or on the floor or bed. Spread all of your make-up out around you because your friend are going to want to see what’s available while they give you something really new and different – on either side of your face.

Your first friend sits on your right side and your other friend sits on your left. Imagine a line drawn down the middle of your face. You can draw a real one with eyeliner if you want, but that might be a bit of overkill.

Then, each friend uses whatever make up they want to give you a whole new look. The only rule is they can’t go over the line into what your other friend is working on. The two friends might work together, but it’s much more fun if they do their own thing. That way, when the mirror comes out, you can see two different versions of yourself – very different versions of yourself.

Why You Should Love Makeover Games

Love makeover games? You should – it’s only natural. Makeover games are a natural extension of the fashion most of us simply adore to play with. After all, what’s the fun of looking at clothes on the rack when you can be assembling entire new wardrobes?

Makeover games are inspirational. When you play a makeover game, you’re often inspired to do something new and different to your own look. Making yourself look and feel your best is great for your self confidence. You might even notice that you do better all around when you feel great about yourself.

Makeover games teach you new tricks. Just like makeover shows, makeover games can teach you all kinds of new tricks. You might learn how to wear some of the latest styles, and how to flatter your figure with different kinds of clothing. Makeover games also have makeup and hair lessons to learn, so there is always something new to focus on.

Makeover games are a blast. Everyone likes to see someone transform into a more beautiful and satisfied version of herself. Why else would we tune into these shows and play makeover games at all? The more games you play, the more fun you have transforming the lives of your virtual characters or best friends.

Makeover Games: Pretty Princess

If you wander down the toy aisle, you’ll see plenty of princess dress up clothes for little girls. You might even have a few princess gowns from your own youth. But age doesn’t mean you have to stop playing princess games. You can still be a pretty princess!

Start with the gown. Every princess needs a beautiful gown. You can find this sort of thing many places. The least expensive would be your mother’s closet. With her permission, of course, dig around until you find her own formals. Most women keep their prom dress and wedding dress, and she might be willing to let you play with them if you ask nicely and take good care.

If you mother doesn’t have anything suitable, head to a resale shop, thrift store, or consignment shop to find a flowing, glittery formal gown. You might poke around these stores for hair accessories, masks, and the all important tiara. Find what you can, and then head to a costume shop for the rest.

When you have all the style elements, do your hair and makeup. A glamorous updo is standard, and be sure to use a bit of shimmer and glitter for flair. Then pull on your new gown, step into your glass (or plastic) slippers and you’re off to a make-believe ball of your own.

Dramatic Hair Makeover Games

The most interesting hair makeovers are the most obvious and dramatic. If you get a hair cut and trim off less than an inch, touch up your honey highlights on your almost brown hair, and get it dried, your style is certainly not dramatic, although you probably look adorable.

But if you went to the salon, got your hair cut into a face highlighting pixie ‘do along with bleach blond and pink highlights – the world will definitely take notice. If you’re bored with your looks, you should try something so new and different you’ll shock yourself – why not? You’re only young once.

Your hair is very noticeable, which makes dramatic hair makeover games frightening. What if you hate it? But part of growing up is taking risks. If your hair is always pulled back, you might actually love a short style that takes seconds to complete every morning. Don’t forget, you can actually go the other way, too. Hair extensions can be a lot of fun for special occasions or just because.

Plan your new look or simply take yourself to the salon and put your makeover into the hands of a very experienced stylist. You want to find a stylist you can trust who knows what works best for your hair texture, length and face shape. Once you have an expert on your side, you simply can’t go wrong – or at least not for long.

Rock Star Makeover Games

Who doesn’t secretly yearn to be a rock star? Whether you can sing or not, you can certainly look the part, especially with a bit of help from a rock star makeover game. Your first step is to study rock stars in action. What do they wear on stage and off?

Look for dress up games with your favorite bands to get ideas and practice putting rock star wardrobes together. Remember that rock stars often set trends, rather than following them, so you can always be a bit edgy and different when you’re dressing up like a rock star. It’s just part of the fun.

When you have an idea of the style elements you’re looking for, head to your closet before you head to the stores. You never know what might be useful once you’ve included a few safety pins and properly applied scissors. Gather what you can from what you already own, and then set yourself on your way to the stores for some new pieces.

Find the items you’re missing in your wardrobe basics first, and then add killer accessories. Only when you have enough basics to make an outfit or two from what you already own should you start pulling entirely new outfits together. The basics will always be your starting point for a rock style wardrobe.

Makeover Game Bonding

Makeover games are fun – there is no doubt about that. But makeovers can do so much more than let you have fun for an afternoon. If you and your BFF spend the weekend giving each other total makeovers, or you help your friend as she goes through a butterfly-like transformation, the two of you will likely be bonded in a serious way.

Makeovers are special to girls because we always love to see ourselves in a new, possibly better, light. Your make up, hair and outfit bring out your best features and if you can carry this new style through to the rest of your life, you’ll be living large.

Almost every makeover game has a friend and supporting element involved. It’s hard to make a big change, but it’s much easier when a friend is helping you out every step of the way. You might have dreamed of a new look, but when it’s time to get that radical new haircut, you will probably need someone to hold your hand.

It doesn’t just have to be your best friend that you bond with during a makeover. You might use this transformation to get to know your sister better, your boyfriend or best of all – your mom. Your mother has watched you grow from a baby to now. Why shouldn’t she get a front row seat to the new and improved you?

Mini Makeover Games

So you like makeovers, but sometimes a full makeover can be a bit intimidating to pull off in real life. After all, people are going to notice if you suddenly change your hair, your make up and your entire wardrobe in one fell swoop. Instead, if the thought of so much drama makes you uncomfortable, you should focus on doing mini makeovers sure to get you to the final point of glam – but without so much hype and fanfare.

Your first step should be your make-up. Change it a bit to give your face a more open, fresh feel. Get used to the new feel and then move on. You might have to tweak your shades and techniques a bit to find the perfect set-up for you, but when you do your makeover will be well underway.

Your next step is to start fine-tuning your wardrobe. Add a few style elements here and there and as you discover things that fit you nicely and styles you like, go back out and get more of the same. Change your look gradually to find articles of clothing you like and things that really suit you – sometimes buying too much at once can encourage you to be impractical and that’s a waste if you’re not going to use an item.

Finally, your hair is going to be the biggest step. Only close friends will notice the make-up changes, and your clothes will clue in other around you to subtle changes. But the dramatic new look of your hair will let the world know you’re here in a new way – and you’ll already be totally comfortable with that new girl!

Makeover Games and Your Dad

If there was ever a terrific candidate for a makeover game, it’s your dad. Look over at him. Go ahead; take note of what he’s wearing and how those glasses or haircut aren’t really flattering. Then just think of all the things you can show him.

Start with a virtual makeover. Take his picture and use it online to do a full makeover. Change his hairstyle – most likely you’ll go shorter to camouflage thinning hair, and then start playing around with his clothes.

Dads, at least the vast majority, have little or nothing to do with make-up, so you can skip that step. But you should really work on your dad to come and see what you’ve created. If he likes it, you might just be able to convince him to buy a new outfit or two.

If Dad’s makeover is successful, you can continue to be his assistant and head with him to the barber shop and clothing stores. Your dad might appear to be cool, calm and collected, but everyone wants to know they look good.

Tell your dad you love him unconditionally, but then also let him know that you have his best interests at heart while you find him a totally new look.

Everyone Needs a Virtual Makeover

There are so many great things online, it’s easy to skip over some of the most universal. Of all the makeover games, a virtual makeover is by far the most interesting. In a full virtual makeover, you have the option to change your hair, your clothes, your makeup and even your body’s shape (if you’re trying to gain or lose weight) to see how you’ll look in different outfits and styles.

You might be totally content in your current style, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t play around to see what might be out there that you simply haven’t discovered yet.

A virtual makeover is highly personal because most often, you actually upload a picture of your face to be used in the game. You can also set the measurements on the body to match your own to get a better impression of how clothes fit.

It goes without saying that being honest on the measurements is the only way you’ll really know how something looks.

Then, once everything is uploaded and ready, you can try out totally new looks. Start with your hairstyle. Try different cuts and colors to see if one appeals to you. Then you can move on to your wardrobe. Find outfits that suit your features and you’ll be ready to head to the mall to buy them in real life.
