Makeover Games and Haircuts

If you’re tired of your current look, all you might really need is a new haircut. Getting your hair cut and styled makes you look like a totally new person and it’s usually much less expensive than investing in a new wardrobe. Makeover games that include a brand new hairstyle are always a good choice and there is a lot of possibility for what you can do if you’re contemplating something well outside your current comfort zone.

There are two schools of thought on makeover games that include haircuts. Some people would advise you to make choices that are more in line with the look you've had for a long time. A dramatic change can shock your system and throw you off in a big way. Of course, by that same token, if you choose to make a look that is less dramatic, you may not feel satisfied with the results of your expensive new haircut and then you’ll simply have to make new choices and make even bolder choices the next time around.

Makeover Games and Pinterest

What I’d really like to see on Pinterest is a board dedicated to real people who are creating makeover games in real life. How many of us are fascinated by changing styles and clothing and just getting through life with a slightly different edge or approach? Yet we still have to tune into Oprah or the like to find someone enjoying makeover games. I vote we start our own games by making over ourselves and our friends.

Take a quick picture for your “before” and then get to work on your clothing, hair and make up. Shop for something that feels great on and get it altered to fit perfectly. Then, get a new hairstyle, put on a bit of make up and take some new pictures in a flattering light. Once you have your new pictures, pair the two up side by side to see how closely they resemble each other. Most likely you’ll have something really fun to share. Splice the pictures together in Photoshop or even Clipart and then upload them to Pinterest so that everyone can enjoy the makeover games with you!

Makeover Games for Little Girls

Little girls are great participants in makeover games. Everyone likes to look different and feel pretty, so makeover games are a great option for playing with your little sister or your babysitting charges. Playing with makeover games is simple with little girls - they don't usually know just how much is required to be fully dressed or wear a full face of make up.

That means you can get away with putting on a shade of lipstick and a bit of eye shadow on your little sister and she may think she is fully made up. You then have the additional option of putting on a bit of blush or even some mascara to really make her feel special. Do a quick braid or up style and you'll have some beautiful little girls who feel beautiful, too. Not to mention that those same little ones will be convinced that you're the coolest girl ever.

Makeover Games and Long Hair

There is no rule that states that your long hair must be worn down. In fact, if you have long hair, you may have a lot more fun wearing it up more often than wearing it down. You long hair can mean many things. For one, it’s a very attractive, even sexy look to have long hair – but you don’t always want to look super sexy. Sometimes you might prefer to look professional or pulled together in a school girl sort of way. That’s when the makeover games really kick in.

To look great with makeover games, you only need to take ownership of your long hair and decide how you want to style it each day. For example, you might decide to braid it back one day and then wear it in long waves the next. A look with straightened hair is always fun, and of course there is the option to simply wear it back in a bun or a ponytail. With so many different styling options, there are almost no limits to what you can do with long hair and makeover games.

Makeover Games and a New Job

If you’re heading off to a new job that requires more than a name badge and hair net, you need to be prepared for the world you’re about to enter. Makeover games can do an excellent job preparing you for this intense world ahead, but you have to be willing to undergo some serious changes, even if they are just for the working hours.

Grown-up haircut. Your first order of business is to get a grown-up haircut. If you've had the same hairstyle for ten years, it’s time for a new one that looks professional.

Professional clothing. Your personal style should be about fit and flare, not comfort. Dress to impress every day in professional clothing – not something you would wear to class or around on the weekend.

Well groomed. Finally, you need to always put your best face forward after your makeover games. You want to stay well groomed and avoid unsightly eyebrows or chipped nail polish at the very least.

Makeover Games and Changes

The hard part of makeover games isn't playing around with fashion and make up. The hard part of makeover games is sticking to the new style that you've created. Often we develop our own personal style to cover up things or compensate for other characteristics that we’re not comfortable with. Weight gain is a particularly common issue that we hide with a frumpy, often unflattering style.

But suddenly when you start playing makeover games, you can see where your own style can be so much more attractive when you embrace and dress your shape. Yet even with that motivation, we tend to slunk back to that comfortable wardrobe and wear what works again rather than what we should be wearing. If you’re going to play some serious makeover games and make a difference in your overall wardrobe, start by throwing out your old, badly sized clothing. You don’t need them anymore anyhow.

Makeover Games and Glee

The latest episode of Glee showed up the power of makeover games. Kurt is making over his new life in New York by ignoring Blaine – which doesn't bode especially well for their future unfortunately. Brittany is still bouncing back from her rock-bottom performance as Brittany and finally Rachel shows us how it’s all done’ Blaine may have ditched his bow tie  but Rachel has redone her entire look to become sexier, more liberated and free.

Personally, I’m a fan of the makeover games on Glee. I think it’s nice to Rachel acting more like a true starlet in New York City, but you can tell she still is a bit awkward on the inside. It begs the question – do makeover games actually change your perspective and feelings on the inside? Or do makeover games just start the process for you – allowing you a chance to make your insides match your outsides a bit more fully?

Makeover Games for Teens

Teens are the most likely candidates for makeover games, and they are also the most likely to benefit from the games. With makeover games, the teens who choose to play are able to find their personal style and understand what sort of clothing and fit that they feel most comfortable in. Since the teen years are also especially challenging for teens, the opportunity to explore their own personal style is a chance to find a way to fit in and enjoy who they are becoming as they age.

Parents of teenage girls should take advantage of their child’s style confusion and fashion sense and help their young ones find a way through the difficult years with a bit of shopping therapy. Go out to the mall with your child and learn and explore what sort of fashions tend to draw them in. You want to find clothing that you deem to be appropriate, but at the same time, the clothing style should reflect what the kid thinks and feels – not what you want them to become. This is a fine line for parents, but makeover games can certainly help to breach that distance.

Makeover Games for the New School Year

If you're thinking about makeover games this school year, you're certainly in good company. Makeover games occur every year and it's not just the kids who get into the act. The new school year is like a signal to everyone that things are changing and it's time to get in gear - a new year is upon us and with that new year comes a few new styles.

Among the most popular styles in the makeover games this school year are the skinny jeans, brightly colored denim and loose tops and tees. The focus on denim is always huge for kids and for adults, this is the time of year to grab up a few new pairs of jeans to be sure that you have some you can wear to football games and other fun fall events. After all, your makeover games should include plenty of things to show off - new make up, new hair styles and new tops to go with those new jeans as well.

Makeover Games and Travel

There is no better time to enjoy some makeover games than when you’re gearing up for some serious travels. Going on a trip means you have an excellent opportunity to prepare some pretty new outfits and buy a few things that you can wear just for the trip – and of course when you get back. Most of the time, buying things for a trip is second nature, but you can also take that idea and turn it up a notch if you’d like so that you’re playing makeover games on your trip.

For example, if you’re planning to travel somewhere with just a girlfriend who knows you well, why not dye your hair, get a new style and buy some daring clothing before you go? You can take on an entirely new personality while you’re out and about – away from your current lifestyle. Who knows? You may decide you like that lifestyle so much you decide to keep it when you get back!

Makeover Games and Money

Makeover games always appear to cost a lot of money when you watch them on television. On popular makeover show gives contestants a gift card worth $5,000 to spend on new clothes – you can’t possibly compete with that! Fortunately, real dress up games don’t cost $5,000. You can easily play some serious makeover games for less than $15 if you have some shopping savvy and a good friend along to help.

Start your makeover games with a hair style makeover. While you can spend more and get a full haircut and dye job, you can also swing by the beauty store and buy a $5 box of non-permanent hair dye. The dye washes out after about a month – or sooner if you hate it and wash your hair a lot. Get your friend to help you dye your hair the new color, and then together you can work on a new way of styling or arranging your hair so that you have a truly new look.

Then, take the rest of your $15 to the thrift store. Load up on clothes that fit and look funky for your new look. They may not be couture, but they are cheap and easy to wash and wear. Presto! Makeover games on the cheap!

Makeover Games and Style

We all have our own style of clothing choices, and we should embrace not only what we normally wear, but also seek out styles that are flattering and fun to wear as well. Sit down at the computer to play some serious makeover games. The online games will give you a chance to play with the various styles and fashions that are popular today as well as many styles that were popular in times gone by. Makeover Games and Glasses

If you wear glasses, you might feel a bit constrained by your makeover games. But that shouldn’t be the case! Your glasses provide an excellent opportunity to do new things with your personal fashion and sense of style – just imagine how different you’d look if you were wearing some funky new glasses to work tomorrow! If you’re going to play makeover games, don’t start by putting in your contacts. Instead, start by searching for some new, great glasses online.

If you have a picture of yourself handy, you can also upload your own picture to the website and then try new glasses on yourself to see if you like them.

The more you play, the more fun you’ll have, of course, Ultimately, when you settle on a set of frames you like the most, you’ll be able to snatch them up for $10, have them delivered and then go on to enjoy all of your makeover games.

Makeover Games and Blonde Hair Dye

There is something to be said for blonde hair. It's not only noticeable, but it's fun to wear as well. Of course if you're going to play makeover games with blonde hair, you have to play by the rules and be ready for some necessary maintenance issues that may come with your new golden locks.

When you play makeover games with hair dye, it’s normally a good idea to use a dark color that washes out over the course of a month. But if you're going to use blonde hair dye, it's not going to wash out since you have to actually bleach your hair to get it light enough. It's a very good idea to go to a hair dresser or color specialist as you play with your lighter hair colors.

That way you won't wind up with black hair if you accidentally use the wrong color. Going to a color specialist also ensures that your makeover games turn out successfully and you walk away with a hair color that is fun and works with your own personal style.

Makeover Games and Vacations

A long vacation is the perfect excuse to enjoy some serious makeover games. The point of a vacation is to relax and get away from the stress of your normal job or workload, and part of that stress relief should be finding ways to enjoy what you’re wearing as well as what you’re doing. And honestly – who doesn’t want to be sure to have the right outfits for all of the adventures on your trip?

Whether you’re going to the beach or to the mountains, there are probably at least a few things you need to make your trip more enjoyable. Find the perfect bathing suits with matching cover-ups. Don’t forget a fabulous hat and sandals! Heading to the cooler mountains? Hiking shorts, boots and the right socks will not only look sporty, but will help your feet and legs feel better after a long adventure. You’ll look great and feel better for it no matter where you’re planning to travel.

Makeover Games for Parties

Makeover games are a great way to spend time with your friends when you’re planning a party. For example, if you’re trying to find a way to get your friends together for the last few days of school, invite everyone over to make some new t-shirts. Gather up some money from your friends and then buy some inexpensive craft t-shirts, some iron on letters, plenty of paint and some other fun things you can use on your designs. Then, invite everyone over to spend the night while you work on your new designs.

Spread the t-shirts for your makeover games out on the bed or the floor and take turns dressing them up with beads, letters and pictures. You can even start cutting out the sleeves and sides of the shirt to dress them up even more and make the generic craft shirts a bit more form fitting and comfortable. There are lots of ways to make the shirts unique, and if everyone has the same color and style, wearing the shirts just makes the whole adventure more fun both the night that you’re playing makeover games and the next day when everyone wears the shirts to school.

Makeover Games with Music

There’s something about music that makes makeover games that much more entertaining and fun. When you are playing with fashion, it’s always an adventure to see what sorts of designs you’ll create. Taking that up even a notch by using music makes the adventure more intense and you can ramp up your fun, especially if you’re playing makeover games with a friend. Just try thinking of a fashion show without music blaring!

Having a friend over makes any makeover game more fun, but you can have an even more enjoyable time by turning on some party music and dancing a bit as you play. Laugh, sing, be rowdy and most importantly have fun. After all, isn’t that the entire point of makeover games? You want to end the games with a new look, some fun memories and a few new dance moves as well.

Makeover Games and Privacy

There is a lot of fun involved when you play makeover games with a friend, but you can have just as much fun playing makeover games by yourself if you really enjoy your privacy. When you play makeover games alone, you don’t have to wait to hear what others think about your fashion choices and you can change your mind countless times without having to justify it to anyone. For example, if you head to the mall in search of a great new outfit, why not go alone?

You can browse through the stores for as long as you’d like without being bothered by a friend’s schedule, and you can pick up things you like – even if you know she’d hate them. Grab a giant stack and then go try everything on. As you find things you like in your makeover games, put them aside – you don’t need anyone’s approval but your own. Once you’re sure of what you like and what you actually want to wear, you can still play with the colors and styles until you find just the right thing to wear for your makeover games. Best of all, when you walk out you can surprise your best friend or family members with the new outfit they have never seen before.

Makeover Games and Nails

If you have long nails, you know how hard it can be to take proper care of them. Often, one of the first things you do when you're considering makeover games is get your nails done. It's amazing that the small amount of paint required to have your hands polished and presentable is enough to really make a dramatic difference in how you present yourself to the world, but it does matter - and it's not as hard as you may think to maintain.

When you are considering your nails as part of a makeover game, select a color or style that isn't too dark. The lighter a color is, the more it will blend in with your hands and the less chips will appear if you were to ding a nail. Have your nails done professionally if you enjoy the relaxing pampering, or spring to do yourself if the cost becomes too prohibitive. When you have a manicure, enjoy the full experience complete with lotion, layers of nail color and a hard top coat that will protect them for the two weeks until the next manicure.

Makeover Games and Hair

If you’ve never dyed your hair, makeover games can take on an entirely new perspective with just a bit of adventure. Best of all, there are plenty of hair products out on the market that let you dye your hair temporarily without having to be committed forever to a color or a style. A demi permanent shade washes out in about a month, making it a perfect way to try for the perfect shade of light or dark.

If you’re dying your hair more than a few shades past your normal color, you may want to consider a visit to a salon to avoid orange or fried hair, but if you’re just looking for something fun and flirty, why not try out a dark shade or brown or maybe even a red for a month? A friend can help you put the dye in your hair and then just follow the instructions to wash it out when it’s time. If you hate the color, just keep washing your hair multiple times and it will soon fade out. The temporary nature of the hair dye is the best part of the makeover games.

Makeover Games and Spring

The spring is a time of rebirth and renewal and this makes it an outstanding time to consider some makeover games. Makeover games are a chance for you to shed the dingy layers of clothing and make up that aren’t really doing much for you anymore and to return to a more dramatic effect with new make up, new clothing and an entirely new look.

Makeover games are simple to enjoy once you get started. If you’re not already adept at playing with new looks and styles, you may want to use the guidance of some fashion magazines as you create a new look, but you might have just as much fun experimenting with some styles.

Start with a new hairstyle. Once you have hair that you love and feels right on your head, it’s easy to find the make up that goes with it. Dig around and find the clothing that you feel good in. If you don’t have anything at hand, go out to the stores and start looking for some new clothing that makes you feel really good in your own skin. After all, the point of makeover games is to feel absolutely amazing when it’s all said and done.

Makeover Games and Sleepovers

Easily the best time to enjoy some serious makeover games is when you’re hosting a sleepover. When you’re settling down with ten of your best friends there is an outstanding chance that you’ll have plenty of drama and fashion during the evening. Sometimes having large groups is a fun way to enjoy the fashion, but you can also do some serious makeover games with just the two of you if you invite your best friend over. Get everyone together and then it’s time for some fashion fun!

The first thing you’ll need with your makeover games is plenty of ideas. After all – what’s the fun of dressing up in a way you’ve been dressing for years? To get started you’ll want to dig around in everyone’s bags and check out the closet to see what’s been tucked away. Sometimes moms and grandmothers come up with some awesome fashions as well and you can play quite a bit with those as well if you’d like – it’s all part of the fun, of course!

Makeover Games and Hair Dye

If you’ve never played with hair dye, it’s definitely a great way to dress up your makeover games. There are so many demi-permanent hair dyes out there it’s simple to change your look almost instantly. You can enjoy your new look and then if you’re tired of it, simply wash your hair a few extra times so that the color fades or go and buy another box of hair dye so that you can be sure that the look is exactly what you want it to be. After all, hair dye is a chance to express yourself – you want to be sure you’re sending off the right messages to the right people!

Hair dye can be permanent or just temporary. If you find a color that seems to make the makeover games just right, go ahead and use it again after a few weeks, but this time make it a permanent choice. You’ll look great for weeks at a time and you’ll feel good, too. Makeover games simply have that effect on us and who doesn’t love to feel like they are looking their very best – red head, brunette or blonde at will!

Makeover Games and Winter

The winter months may be cold, but there is plenty you can do to keep warm by using some of the latest and greatest skin products. Okay, perhaps a great new moisturizer won’t keep you warm at night, but you can at least rest peacefully knowing that your skin isn’t going to be dry and cracked when you wake up. Winter, with its combination of dry heaters and freezing air, is a beast when it comes to makeover games.

It’s hard to feel pretty when you’re bundled up against the weather and dealing with a runny nose. Fortunately, that’s nothing a hot and steamy bath can’t handle. Before you dig into your makeover games, soak in the tub for a bit and be sure to let your bathroom get nice and steamy. Once you’re out of the tub, slather yourself in heavy creams and lotions to protect your skin. Then, crawl into some flannel pajamas and outstanding slippers. Plod out of the warm bathroom into the cold house and snuggle down content to wait for a better day for makeover games.
