Makeover Games are Recession Proof

With so many luxuries and simple pleasures disappearing thanks to the bad economy, there is still hope for makeover games. Interview shows and everyone else loves to do a makeover show. The thought of throwing off an old and heavy skin and putting together a new self is very appealing, especially during a tough spot. Just think of how great it would feel to look better, feel better and be more attractive – it would be great.

We know this and stores know this, so they are usually discounting prices to be sure that we can still afford our fix of makeover items. Clothes, accessories, haircuts, highlights and anything else we might possibly need to look and feel better about ourselves is discounted and readily available. There isn’t as much wait time or crowding in your favorite stores which makes it nice to shop more leisurely – even for the high end products.

Studies have actually shown that in a tough spot such as the one we’re in right now, buying small items such as new shoes, new clothing, pretty underwear and other small luxuries actually increases. This is simply because everyone wants something new and pretty to make them feel better. So even if your makeover game is scaled down, you can count on it being around.
